Well, I had 17" winters put on with the hub caps. I didn't like the look without them. I mentioned a few problems that showed up this week. Ticking noise during cold start up, some transmission slips during slowing down, belt noise during wet weather (squeal noise). They ordered all the parts and are fixing all the above mentioned. Not one questioned asked. TSB's out on all of them. No hassle, no fuss. Love it. Treated like gold. Thanks WOOD MOTORS. YOU GUYS ROCK:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

By hub caps are referring to the base model wheel covers? I had to have new lugnuts ordered (from Edmonton) since the ones that are used with the OEM 20" wheels won't hold the covers on the 17" steel wheels. As I've mentioned in some posts the lugnuts are $14.28 X 20. I'm going in this afternoon to have the covers put on.

Yes Peter base model,
They had to order my lugs in. Ordered on Monday they were here on Thursday morning. I got them installed yesterday. I think they look great BF Goodrich Blizzaks. Got them for 157 a pc. The lugs were 12 a pc. Had the rear bumper protector put on as well. Rims were 85 a pc. 60bucks for labour.

BFGoodrich Blizzaks?? Did you mean BFG Winter Slalom KSI? If so, we have the same setup. You did a little better in pricing although my dealer did reduce the cost of the lugnuts to $12.50 each. So on each wheel I now have $62.50 worth of nuts holding on a $41 wheel cover!

Ooops. Yes your right KSI's. Silly me. Yes, probably could have gotten a nice rim for that price. I really don't mind the look of the cap though. Had some guys at work say they like the look of the 17's more than the 20's. I don't, but they are winter tires. Dealer bagged up my 20's and I have them in the garage. Can't wait for spring. LOL. Cheers.

I had my X also in at Wood Motors and they have been very helpful in getting all my issues fixed. They tackled my my list of issues and fixed the A Pillar for the second time. The 3rd row light still does what it wants, although they swapped something out. The replaced the window trim to fix the streaky windows and also replaced *insert technical term here* in the transmission. The car has design flaws, but the dealership has been very helpful and willing to help me throughout this time. It's the only reason I still have this truck. Good Job Wood Motors.

Hey chimomon, are the $85 rims the Ford OEM wheels?

I'll let chimoman confirm it but I believe they are. Mine were $99 for the 17" base model steel wheels. I wanted to post a picture of it along with the wheel cover but for some reason everytime I try today I get a message about invalid file format. These are the same pic type I posted before.

Did that include the hubcaps?

No sir. They were $41. That is if you want to use the base model wheel covers. If you have the 20" OEM, like I do, the lugnuts won't work to hold the covers. They will hold the wheel but the covers require lugs with a flange to hold the covers on. They do not snap on. The lugs were $12 each x 20. I'm not sure if chimoman has the same covers or if he has a different cap.

I wish I knew what the problem is trying to post pictures today. Not sure if anyone else has the same problem. Keep getting This is not a valid image file, even if I try to post a previous successfully uploaded photo.

How did they fix the A pillar for the second time? Same fix as the first?

Yes they just replaced the gasket again as far as I know. I know that the rattle will come back. It's a design flaw so no matter how many times you replace a faulty design with another, it won't solve the issue until they start making the pillars from metal. I'm not sure if i'll have the patience to go back every time it happens until a recall goes out or if I'll rig something up myself to either fill or stabilize that gap on the bottom, allowing air to cause this nuisance.

So Peter if I am understanding this, you paid around $744 + tax for the steel wheels, wheel covers and Lug nuts? I just ordered 5 spoke after market rims. I forget the exact name as I am at work but I got them in black. Nothing special but it was only $650 all tax in for the 17 inch. Ford said they will do the Tires, TPMS and all the mounting and installing for 1k so 1650 all tax in for the set.

Same set would have been $1200 all tax in delivered to the border but I would have had to get the ferry plus pay the HST at the border. I hate how everything is so much cheaper down south. Just looked up my exact vehicle on Ford.ca and ford.com Almost a $11k difference and the price to buy mine went up by close to $4500 for the exact same vehicle!

Total cost for parts was $1720. That included wheels ($99.95 ea), tires ($169.45 ea), TPMS ($56v60 ea), wheel covers ($41.07 ea) lug nuts ($12.57 ea) and balancing. Labour was $65. I had the option of not taking the wheel covers and that would have saved me $416 since the OEM lug nuts could then have been used, but I decided to go for it! The government is going to get my $$ sooner or later so I may as well enjoy spending it now.;)

Same set up here. My wheels were only 84 a piece. My bill came to just over 1800. That was with the rear bumper protector installed. Cheers

So I guess you are saying I'm going to need to drive my car to Canada to get my issues fixed? This sucks... I'm glad you guys have having great experiences, but I'm SOOOO frustrated with mine.

Just wanted to say nice to hear "My dealer is the Best", not sure I ever heard that before without a sarcastic ring to it. All dealers should treat their customers like that and they would sell alot more cars!
