i am so happy with my lovely explorer having read i think all the posts now on this forum i can say at the moment it starts without any rattles i have not got any noises it purrs the one thing i would like to do is put some new tyres on it so which ones would you all recommend i will be travelling down south at the end of november so it will be its first long drive then around 650 miles having spoken to my husband tonight about new tyres he says i dont need big chunky ones i need ones that will be ok on the road and the occasional light off road down at the beach. we have mcconechys tyres up here and kwik fit at inverness but but when i mention explorer on the website it says they dont do them. i can go anywhere to get them along the a1 or as far as the north circular on my way down so any suggestions where to get them will be appreciated the last set of tyres i bought were at macros for my people carrier and they were around £300 plus vat im guessing these will be a tad dearer him indoors doesnt want remoulds either not that hes ever going to drive my new toy its luvverly and its getting detailed within an inch of its life in the morning got a nice young man coming round to do it for me dont want to break any fingernails plus it blinking freezing out there. any suggestions anyone please.:D

I got my Bridgestone Duellers from http://www.mytyres.co.uk/ and then just popped round to my local tyre guy and had him fit them. The standard size in th UK is 255*70*16 but up to 275*70*16 will fit without rubbing. I put 265*75*16 on and had to do the TT/shackles lift to stop the rubbing.

thankyou howard

duellars are what i have now i will show him indoors later great prices considering it includes delivery thats till they find out where i live hehe

Got Kumho on mine nice and quiet good grip, so far so good.
