Here is the same deck, just a little cheaper. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3089503836&category=39761
I had a Panasonic that I traded in with my Explorer. It was rock solid for many years. It saw 3 cars and was 4 years old, and had a ton of hours on it. I used to park my truck in the shop and play the stereo 8 hours Monday through Friday. Not including the 45 minute ride to and from work. Some people don't like the ghost face. Circuit City and Best Buy should have them. You may want to check it out before spending the cash.

OK, anyone else? How does Panasonic compare to Alpine? Am I wasting my money if i get the Panasonic. *NOTE* I plan on getting either on ebay so It won't be too much.

honestly, i have never had an alpine deck, but my friend with a 99 limited has one and it made is crap sound real good, i would go with the alpine over the pan. in my opinion, alpine has a better made quality, and i think you probably gonna pay more for the pan. and not get as much as you were expecting

I recommend Alpine and Pioneer. I've run em both, and currently have an Alpine. A pioneer I used to use, got sold to my bro, then to his friend, and it finally died when it accidently got dropped when it wasn't in a vehicle. It was 6 yo and still working. Panasonic has never looked to be a good product to me, but it might be.

If you are going to get an Alpine, get one now. They recently moved their manufacturing plant into Mexico. That'll do wonders for the quality control, I'm sure.

there is nothing wrong with panasonic HUs..they are acctually really really good HUs and have alot of fetures u will want/need should u chose to amp the interior speakers or add on sub(s)
