Brought this thing home today. I bought it from a government auction for $1k.
Specs:
1985 Chevy D30 (government K30 that is "5/4 ton") aka CUCV
~47K miles
Dana 60 front axle
14 bolt FF rear axle with a Detroit locker
both geared to 4.56
TH400 tranny
6.2L diesel engine that runs great
HD NP208 t-case
5 brand new BFG A/T's (~metric 33's)
Lots of newer parts like batteries, alternator, driveshaft, starter, grill. I got a maintenance log a 1/2" thick with it that showed everything that was done to it over the past 10 years.
It drove right up on the trailer, the only bad part is the tranny only goes forward in 1st/2nd with alot of throttle. I couldnt get reverse to work. I think it is more than a filter and fluid will fix.
