My Stealth Box I Built For My 2001 Explorer Sport

So the past few weeks i've designed and built a stealth box inbetween working, having a one year old, and going to school. here are some pics of the finished product. it is not yet installed but i will post spme pics once i get time to put it in. I used Google sketchup to design it and will eventually put up the models i built.

Internal volume of 0.77cuft and is around 27.5 in long and 14.5 in tall.
it will be holiding a polk audio mm1040 powered by a kenwood kac-9105d.

nice work man, real clean, for sure post up some pics when it is in the truck, should be 100x better then stock. Also like the binding posts you used, they won't be able to puss out, unlike the spring loaded ones.

Woah, impressive skill! I will attempt to replicate your success. Some of the pics appear to have gone missing, so could anyone please chime in on the best way to mount the box to minimize vibration? Preferably without fastening by cutting/drilling to the body?

I could chime in a little on how to mount it in there. This is what I got (its not finished but It's good for now.) I just mounted my amps on it.

for the most part it fits nice. not 100% perfect but I can adjust it a little if I feel up to it.

Check the yellow circles. those are stock mounting brackets for the JBL crap. theres 4 total I believe. What I did was go to lowes, buy 4 bigger ones (ones that can take a slightly larger rod), bought a 12" rod, hacksaw, nylon lock nuts - pack of 20 or w/e, 8 rubber washers and 8 metal washers.

I cut the threaded rod in 1/4s screwed them into the clips then screwed on the nylon lock nut to hold it secure to the clip. then I put the metal washer followed by the rubber washer on each rod. Then I mounted the board. After board is on I put another rubber washer followed by the metal washer followed by the nylon lock nut to secure the board. It is VERY sturdy. I'm pushing a 15" power acoustik **** in a 6 cu.ft. box tuned to 20hz. I do not hear any vibrations at all (coming from that board at least lol) playing "Bass, I love you" and hitting that 16hz note causes my roof to do the wave and still does not cause any creaking or vibrating from that board.
