My tube buggie build, explorer heart. Ideas/pics/progress

Well, the time has come.
I really, really want a tube buggy rock crawler. So I'm gonna build my own.

-I plan to use explorer Fuel Injected 302 v8 for the engine.
Unsure on tranny -if 5spd or auto?
Atlas 4- with 10.1 lowest
Dana 60 Front -Hi steer
14Bolt rear
Full Hydro steering
Dom Construction.
But front section that drivetrain sets in, will be rectangle 3/16 unsure size , kinda like a frame??
2-seat, with maybe small rear seat kids ** in future** LOL
unsure on tires some where between 40-44s
beadlocks
Gonna try and do most on a budget. I will keep track of everything.
Street legal, like a dune buggy would be a plus-will check into that

Pretty excited currently back in technical school for autobody, and taking welding class currently, hope to use these skills to help me with this build.

Will post up progress as it goes, and as parts accumulated. If any one has good ideas, pointers, good picutres, post them up for reference, this is all still in design stage, gonna sell my Jeep after March, and focus on this build.
If i find designs that I like I will post them up as well.

What overall shape are you looking at doing for the chassis? There's alot of options out there and alot of cool looking stuff being built lately. I would love to build one and skin it with Explorer body panels.

Yea I thought about using explorer front skins, like narrowed front clip/grille

design well, im not sure yet, thats what Im researching right now.

I like them not to low, but not real big u know??? Wheelbase similar to Explorer Sport, I dont want it real long and stretched.
