my xltee 99 has a problem

hi peeps was drivinalong when i noticed the temp was up and so was my idle speed but the motor wasnt that hot but it was revving a bit and a bit noisy up the top any suggestions ??

I am failing to see the emergency...

did you check codes? Could be a faulty sensor causing your gages to read wrong.

How do you know the motor wasn't hot? Did you touch it?

The motor will try to cool itself by reving higher. You most likely have a failing thermostat.
