Do you mean the thermostat housing?

YES! lol, i just found that from about an hr of searching the forum. i feel silly now for not knowing. it looks like a pita to replace!

im still unsure on what i actually need to replace. its leaking slowly from the seems... just o-rings?

Yep. Its like a buck 25 at the parts store. I just changed mine out too. Actually turns out whoever did it before didn't even put a ring in! Just siliconed the mess out of it and somehow it held together for almost two years.

can you confirm p/n? found these off the how-to. also what would merit replacing the whole assembly? do i fix it if it isnt broken?

If you are pulling it apart you may as well throw in a new thermostat. They are only good for so long, and you are going to be right there. They are pretty cheap.
