Navigation Points of Interest question

I finally had a chance to make a long trip this morning to a new customer and used the navigation to get there. I noticed that when you activate the little side window which shows you upcoming turns it places points of interest such as gas station, restaurants, etc. However when you don't use the navigation to get somewhere those POI's don't seem to be there, at least for me and I couldn't find a setting to put them there.

So did I miss anything?

I beleive that is something you can turn on and off in Navigation preferrences.

Remember PIO icons do not show on the map depending on what level (zoom) your at.
