Anybody that has the 2002-2003 4.0L, please help me. I am looking for detailed pictures of the stock "OUTLET PIPE" (between the mass air sensor and the throttle body). I am doing this for comparison purposes on a 2004 4.0L. I have been looking at doing a K&N FIPK, but as anybody with the 2004-2005 model knows, they don't currently make a kit for our vehicles.
So here are my thoughts...There are several people on here that have done "hybrid" intake kits for various different vehicles, mixing parts and pieces from different kits to make one their own. My thoughts are, depending on the differences that I can determine (I am already aware of the MAF Sensor difference and will cover that in a second), installing a 2003 4.0L K&N FIPK on my 2004.
Knowing that the MAF Sensor housing is built into the stock air housing on the 2004-2005, I have decided to venture into the aftermarket realm and use a 73mm C&L Tureflow (providing that I can find the one with the 4 bolt system like ours uses).
As far as I can tell based on everything that I have looked at, this will work, but I need to the pictures and measurements to look at. If anybody would like to provide additional/alternative input, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
