Hi, My car was garaged for 13 years and never driven. The tires were newish (< 3000 miles) Goodyear Wranglers. Since my car has started running again, my left front has blown (30 miles in). My mechanic found a newish tire to replace it. He told me to expect some uneven feeling with this tire because it doesn't match the others. It does has a shaky feeling when I'm driving around the neighborhood. It's still under 100 miles since he put in new bushings, shocks, and brake shoes and replaced that tire. I understand that flat spotting occurred so I'd like a recommendation for tires for a long road trip later this year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Had a similar issue when I bought my '94 Sport -- had Wranglers on it with lots of tread, but they were ten to twelve years old with lots of dry rot, and I had no confidence in them. I ended up going with Kumho Road Venture AT52's, bought 'em at TireRack, reviews were good, price was better than most. I've only put about 1,500 miles on them so far, but like them. Haven't tried them off-road but they've worked well for me.

You need all new tires. The time to replace them is now, before you end up killing yourself, or someone else. If you’re 4wd all the tires should be the same model and size.

Thank you bwryan! I will definitely check them out. Yep, I was so surprised that one just burst.
