Hey guys,my friend has a 91 bronco w/302 engine, whenever he tows his 20 foot camper his truck will lose its oil pressure and overheat after maybe 10 miles. He is using 15w-40 oil , has flushed his radiator and done all the other maintenance necessary.we cant figure out why this is happening .does anybody have any suggestions on what he can do?would a lower temp. thermostat and oil cooler help? Thanks in advance.

Any ideas...Anyone?

Rebuild

How about new main and rod bearings !

How many miles on it, prob should use 10W instead of 15W. Is it actually overheating as in steam coming from hood or are the guages just saying it is overheating? If he hasn't put a new thermostat on it, it would be a good idea. Also, Ford's guages back then are not terribly accurate. My temp guage is always on the extreme low side of the guage, and my oil pressure guage is not accurate at all. Those sensors go bad and give awful readings. At least mine do and I even replaced them a while back, they still don't work right.
