My friend and I have been putting a spacer/shackle lift on my 1992 Explorer. The front spacers are done!

Now I have a big problem....my shackles in the rear! We unbolted the top driver side ok and we got the nut off the bottom of the shackle.......but I cant get the bolt out of the bushing. We have tried liquid wrench, pounding on it with a hammer, and prying it out. No luck at all! I need help getting this out....any suggestions will be tried! I need to get my truck back on the road fast. Thanks.:(

Had the eact same thing happen to me, on the exact same bolt. I was able to get it out with the use of an air hammer. I would mount the upper back up before doing this though.

Do you think heating the bolt would allow me to beat the bolt out with a hammer? Did you have the same problem on your passenger side? Thanks.

Im going to work on it Wednesday night.....need to get the new tires on!

My 4 door springs that i just bought are like that... I was planning on getting the beating the bolt out somehow and then replacing the bushings b/c the bolt is obviously rusted stuck inside the bushing

Let me know if you figure anything out. My Explorer is undriveable now due to the fact I cant get that bolt out!

If anyone has any ideas at all or knows about heating it with a torch.......please post. Thanks.
