hi
i have an 02 explorer xlt 2wd 4.0

i have a transmission noise directly proportional with engine speed. it starts as a wooshing noise around 2000 rmp and it sounds like a supercharger whine around 4000 rpm. gear or road speed does not effect it. i have already replaced the pump and converter. it can be heard the loudest from the band adjustment studs with a stehoscope. is there a bearing in there that alwase spins proportional with engine rpm?
thanks for your time

regards sam

are there bearings in the center support assembly? do they alwase spin?

There is an encased bearing on the center support shaft but do not think it spins with rpm? Also sounds like it could be the pump whine?
