ok so i owna 99 sport sohc. for the last yr or so my door agar light has been on constantly and wont shut off and i dont know why. im looking for some reasons that this might happen and ways to go about fixing it. also my headlights turn off and on by themselves. if i hit a pothole or speedbump theyll turn on and also they stay on for awhile after turning the car off and locking it etc. whats causing this? ALSO i have that gauge cluster that tells you temp outside etc and within the last 2 months it just stopped working. the reading lights also dont work so its an electrical problem and im wondering if its possibly a blow fuse? if so is there a diagram where it shows me which fuse this is. any help anyone can provide with all my problems is appreciated. thanks in advance!

Hello.

This probably should've been posted in the 2nd Gen section. That's where most of us are. :)

The Door Ajar light is probably caused by a stuck door switch. These are mounted inside the door on the latch. I think some people have fixed this by spraying WD-40 in the slits underneath the door handle. Your mileage may vary.

It sounds like something might be punching through wires or something with the headlights going on and off.

The power for the map lights and console display come from two sources, so if nothing works, it could be the wires going up the A pillar. You may want to look and see under the dash or something if wires are getting pinched together as there seems to be a wiring issue.
