I have a 2001 Explorer Sport 4X2 w/4.0 SOHC and it will not start. My brother bought it for his girlfriend and the person he bought it from said that it quit on them, they replaced the battery and it wouldn't turn over. It does turn over so the engine is not seized. It will not hit at all. I pulled all the plugs and they had a gap of about .090". Looks like the original plugs (112000 miles on this rig). The three on the drivers side were wet with gas and only the front plug on the passenger side was wet. The other two were dry. There is some coughing from the passenger side when turning it over. Any ideas? Timing issue? Coil pack? I am open to any ideas. Please let me know. Thanks
