need info... what mods to buy for $1000 or less?

I've finally decided to start modifing my 1996 5.0 xlt. I already havea system in my X so i'm now trying to make it look and sound nice. I plan on only send maybe a grand and need advise on what to buy and the best brand.

What should I buy:
1)clear corners and brighter bulbs
2)billet grille
3)intake and exhaust

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated...

Nothing changes the look of your X more than a set of new wheels... but you did say under a grand. So, I'd say go with number 3.

what r some good brands of grilles? where to buy? cost?

also i wanted to run duals on the X but w/o sacrificing the spare under the X. If i run duals i have to run a dual in/dual out muffler right? a shop will be doing it not myself. I was told by the shop if i supply the muffler it will cost about 250-300. am i getting riped?

if i go with single exhaust should i get a custom exhaust put on or a cat-back aftermarket system?

I just got my Flowmaster 40 Series muffler today. I recommend it highly. I just got an exhaust tip, which doesn't look in place =(, not the whole exhaust system. And yes, you could get all of those mods for under $1000...

Clear corners $50
Bulbs $30
Billet Grille <$200
