Hey everyone, I'm not an Explorer owner yet but I'm making my decision and I need some help. Here's the story:
My parents are buying a RV and wanting to off load one of their vehicles ( 98 F-150 and a 98 Explorer). They are offering to just give me the one they off load so they can keep them in the family.
Anyways they are offering me the choice between the two. And I was wondering if I could get some opinions from you guys about the Explorer. Again, it's a 1998 model but opinions about all years of Explorers are appreciated also. It's a 2WD 4 door XLT trim, a/t, and the 5.0L V8.
Just so you know the competition is a 1998 2WD 3 door F-150 XLT trim, a/t, 4.2L V6.
Also, what do you guys think of Maaco as a paint shop? Whichever I choose I think I'd want to get it repainted. Should I go with them or a local independent?
