I'm installing a NX kit with the Gen-X upgrade this week and am looking for ideas on how to mount all the solinoids.

Please show some pictures of yours or ones you've seen that you liked.

Thanks,

Jim

Link doesn't work.

We did a trick setup in the fender well of his Mustang. Something like that would be sweet and easy to do on an Explorer. Nice and stealth.

pinellas50, can't seem to make that link work?...

Heres a link that works http://www.cardomain.com/id/pinellas50

Sorry bout the link. Thanks Xplorerkid. Mine isn't really stealth. It is a wet system. I mounted the solenoids where they are mainly so I could draw fuel from the shrader valve. The fuel rail is from an Ex.

On a side note. With only a 70hp nitrous shot, torque went up a full 120 ft lb. That's the kind of torque that will really wake an Ex up!

Well I bave the whole kit installed and now have to find a shop to fill my bottle. I went two place and one stopped selling because of the laws here and the other was out.

I too mounted my solenoids close to the shrader right behind the coil packs. Looks good and not too much of a problem mounting there as there was already a bold there.

It was a pain trying to mound the switchs as everywhere I looked there was no room.

I'll post some pictures next week of the install and see what you all think.

I'd like to here the outcome. My motor is basically a stock 5.0 Mustang motor with an Ecam. E7 heads. On the dyno, I used a 70hp tune. Hp went up almost exactly 70 but the torque went up about 120 ft lbs. It's quite a hit. I had it initially set for a 150 shot but that was just crazy---blowing the tires off at 80mph. I gotta so some serious suspension mods and tires before I try that again.

Have fun with your new found power. Is your Ex a dis system? If so, how do you go about retarding the timing?

Yep no distributer in my X. A chip is one way to retard the timing and maybe they have timing adj for them I don't really know...I'm more of a Mustang guy fooling with my X.

Should be able to get by with good gas as the wet kit will take care of what the timing would help.

I'm starting with the 50 shot and then will progressively move up until I hit the 100 shot. I will be getting a chip in the future and then may move up to even more.
