Need some thoughts about a weird sway

Hi all...I have a '96 XLT V8...We just did the front upper and lower control arms (both upper and lowers) and front shocks because they were shot.

Fast forward 3 days and all the sudden I have a gentle sway back and forth at low speed that gets faster as you increase speed to the point of being a shaking at highway speed.


Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I have to assume it's related to the recent "repairs" but I don't know where to start. I did a visual inspection and everything looks secure...bolts tightened down, lug nuts good, etc.

Did you check the sway bar links?
Which shocks did you use?
How are the tires? Try to rotate front to back, see if it persists.

Thanks for the response...Took it in to the mechanic and it looks like the lower tie-rod sockets are toast...so the parts are on order and I'll post an update tomorrow after I get them swapped out.
