need to replace blown sub-woofer

i've got a 92 eddie bauer with a blown sub and want to replace it with something that requires no mods and gives half decent sound

i've read several posts and it looks like the 6.5" kicker will do the job. can someone confirm that this is the case.

Almost ANY aftermarket 6.5 sub will sound better than the stock one, so no worrying about that, even if it's a cheap sub. Plus, the stock sub amp isn't putting too much power out either. So basically, you can get anything you want, and it will probably sound better. None of the 6.5 replacements will require any mods, so just go what your comfortable with! With a *tiny* mod of opening up the hole a little you could put an 8" in there for more bass, just make sure the speaker's not too deep, that would be about it.
