My faithful wonderful explorer left me stranded today My alternator decided to take a crap on me but it wasant to bad I was only about a mile from the shop not to bad a walk so I took the chance to upgrade to the 130 amp model

I won`t get stranded by that one!

Good old reserve battery, kept fully charged, and ready to at least get me home should my alternator kill the main battery.

how much for that 130 amp? what brand did you get? was it really the amp that cost you to be stranded or was it the battery?

When I got a 130 it was from Ford, and only $20 more than the stock 95 A unit.

When your alt fails, you won't be left stranded until your battery runs out.

my alternator was around 140 bucks but i get a discount cause I ordered it through my shop its a motorcraft
