Hello Guys Im in the process of getting a new 2008 Adrenaline V8.
Im really into performance and want to modify my truck right away. I want to have the intake and exhaust the same day i get the truck!!!!LOL

Are there any Intakes, Catback, etc available for our trucks?
I saw the Zabteck website with the intake tube and the TB are these good?

Any tuners?

Also is it the same engine on the mustang? If so do the pulleys, deletplates, cams, etc work??

Sorry for all the questions, just a little exited for my new ride!!!!!!

The intake I have is K&N cai part number 77-2573KP as far as exhaust you have to make your own I bought a magnaflow muffler and cut out the resonator it sounds awesome.

I am not 100% sure it is identical to the mustang in every aspect. That you would have to check out.

As far as the zabteck tube I am waiting for dyno results I don't see how a tube can make that much difference. They are supposed to be getting a high flow filter set up. This would yield more air flow. UIN2IT has the Zabteck tube and likes it better than the K&N I have he would be better at answering that ? He also has the TB.

Bama chips sells the SCT tuner however they can't make any trans adjustments yet.

Thanks Man!!!!!!
I got allot of reading to do...

Has anyone taken there adrenaline to the 1/4mile times? Any ideas on what times they run?

A SCT Xcal III tuner will give the biggest boost in performance. Unfortunately tuners are not able to modify the transmission yet although i've heard that some are getting close.

The best and most efficient way would be to get a CAI, catback and have it dyno tuned with those mods by a tuner with a Xcal III.

Just be sure to buy a WHITE one... they are the FASTEST ! Hehehehe.

All the best to you with your new STA !!!!
You're gonna love it.

The one im getting is white...
Just have to wait a while because there are no V8 Available here in PR... Just v6... I want to wait for the V8 even if I have to wait 2 months!!!!! More time to save an order parts!!

Welcome and glad to see another STA owner. Let us know what you think of it once you get.

Thanks Man!!!!!!

I went 15.87 I do not remember the mph but that was before the tuner so I think it will go 15.70's mods in my sig.

15.7 with a 4x4...With k&n and exhaust and tunner...
I dont know man...tunner should give you a little more!!!

I need to get mine and start playing with it ASAP....
I think with this 3v V8 engine we can get the STA flying in no time with the correct mods!!!!!!!

Im changing form a nissan titan with 330whp and does 14.2 @ 99.. So i need to get some mods for the STA Quick!!!

I kinda like fast trucks!!! And ever since I saw the Adrenalin I wanted one...
Cant Wait!!!

I think it will be hard to get a st to run low 14's....

that makes me sad...
But theres always a first time!!!
I hope that I can figure it out how to get these babys running low 14sec!!!!!

While I love My Adrenalin, you will have to make a decision how dependable do I want your truck to remain. Unless you have a budget that will allow you to seriously modify your truck, The fastest way to get in over your head is to start having troubles with engine mods.
Many of my fellow truck racers probably know this already, I have seen to many owners modify there trucks then lose interest after a major mod that went south.

Personally I believe its possible to get these trucks in the 15-0 range and perhaps the 14.8 range with simple bolt on's and a good tune. However to get below that may take extensive work.

Secondly, I chose the AWD because I feel that was the fastest way I could get the truck moving off the line. Guys with 2wd will have traction issues as your increase power. Has anyone looked into 20' Drag tires?...

Whats going to move your truck off the line is the torque, while our 4.6s can make some nice HP numbers, this is good for mid to high range power. But our 4.6L's is making in the 300 lb rwtq range and thats where you will need the improvement.

I dynoed my Lightning (351W - no pwr adder) last year and made over 400lb of rwtq, and that gets my 4400 lb truck in the 13.6 range with 1.8 sec 60' times. I can't imagine putting my Adrenalin through this abuse.

You want to be in the low 14's you might consider a NOS kit.
I know we raised this question before, how strong are our driveline components? who will be the first too run a 125hp shot?
then we will find out....:salute:

PS - did anyone notice about 16 secs into the video you get a good look at the dyno....yes its AWD dyno about 5 miles from my home.
There was a EVO waiting in the wings for his runs.

I would like to see what a 2 wheel drive st would run I am thinking 15.60's
so to take 1.40 off is alot to ask and I think the key for the st is to get it off the line. I think a gear would help 4.30's, headers, under drive pullies, CAI
and a good tune then see want it will go 14.70's would be my guess.

I have an 03 cobra so I really don't care about how fast I can get the adrenalin. I did an exhaust a cai and I am doing a tune as soon as they can get into the trans so I change it around.

BigV,
Probably the best Ford tuner I have found is right in your area. Team JDM (NJ) I have made the trip to Jims shop a few times .
I would say he would do the best tune around if you could ever get into their shop. They are very busy and they know the Ford 3 valves.

take care
