NEW blendoor help needed for hot summer 2005!

hey all, i was checking into this a while back and then i looked at the fix that was posted here. ----> http://www.blenddoorfix.netfirms.com/. my problem is that the air conditioner only blows through the defroster vents.

ok, i got to it and pryed up the blendoor unit. but i don't have a lot of area to pull it out in. in fact, i got it a little stuck and am afraid of breaking the little D shaft off.

are there any secrets or hints to getting this thing outa my 98 explorer---safely? thx jw

if you don't put the pin in the right place it will turn the door too much to the left or right, also don't adjust your temp control past 3-6 oclock
you can also try my fix, my fix works the best.
