One-owner 233k miles, dealer serviced
My first Ford product after coming off Troopers, Monteros and Rams. Was looking for a 4wd SUV with style and bumped into this beauty 2 months ago; single-owner, extremely well-kept and there are 22 pages of Ford dealer maintenance visits in the CarFax!!
Interior is nearly mint and all original—including the cell phone and cd changer setup. No accidents, no door dings and besides roof and hood paint fade, the only other body blemish is the dreaded rocker panel rust under the molding. Luckily the underside is clean and rust-free, with just front hubs and the rear diff starting to get noisy. Suspension is tight and rides much better than what I thought a SWB truck would. All in all, I’m VERY happy with my new toy!
I just finished swapping the valve cover seals, intake seals and any other replaceables on the top along with radiator hoses; the surprise was finding the inside of the engine looking like it only has 10k miles of use—it’s that clean! Unfortunately, I also found the rear timing chain upper guide is ‘missing’ so, I’ll be babying the engine until I can afford a reman sometime in the future...
Tackling rear brakes in a few days then possibly all fluids changed in the next month.
Glad to be part of this forum!
