I picked up my new Black Explorer Sport last thursday and damn Ford did a nice job. I've got about 300 miles on it so far and couldn't be happier. Here's a little review for anyone that's on the fence.

Tremendous power for a 5000 lb SUV. The motor is incredible. Handling is also very impressive considering its size. Body roll isn't overwhelming. For stock, it's a great compromise between firm and comfortable. I was surprised with the 12 speaker Sony stereo, I personally think it sounds very good for a stock unit. It doesn't fall apart until you really turn it up. Upgrading should be easy. New speakers, new amp, new sub and it will be perfect for those of us that like it loud.

For me, the electronics are really well done. The sync and touch all work flawlessly. They give the driver a lot of options how they want to customiz the dash and control all the functions. I can see how this many electronic options and controls might turn some people off, but for me, I like how they did it.

Fit and finish on mine is perfect. Ride is silent and everything looks perfect.

For my money, Ford did a hell of a job on the Sport.

I know have about 14,000 miles on my '13 Sport and agree with everything Kevin said above, with one small exception. I don't find MFT to be as intuitive or easy to use as I think it could be. I don't hate it like others have posted, but I can't say I love it either.
The other big plus in my mind are the looks of the Sport. I get compliments all the time. Range Rover looks on a beer budget !

Congrats, I have about 1000 miles on my white sport, Love it, Its most comfortable going about 80. Read the owners manual, it warns about install extra speaker or sub woofers as in may interfere with certain electronics. Weird.....

Congrats Kevin. We have had ours 5 weeks and agree with everything you observed. It's a real winner!
