Hey there! So far this forum has already helped a ton just from browsing it these past 2 days. I'm soon to have my 2nd Ford w/ my DD being my 95 F-150 w/300 I6 and 318,000 miles to boot.
The Explorer I'm starting to work on my Mom will soon be driving until I put new heads on her Monte Carlo, so my main goal for now is safety and reliability. I'm completely new to the Explorers, so I'll apologize in advance for the onslaught of moronic questions to come
On to the truck... It's a 91 V6 (can't remember the model) 4X4 and the odometer reads 8xx,000 miles. The previous owner disconnected the 4X4 push button switch so that's my second goal (first is new shocks since the currents set has obliterated the bushings) and most likely replace a few of the U-joints. Once I get her Monte Carlo driveable the Exploder will be my play toy. Hoping to do the Auto to Manual hub conversion per the directions here on the forum before summers end.
