New guy here haling from Alaska.
I picked up a 97 Eddie Bauer 5.0 for my kid for $400 since I was kicking him out of the house and I wanted my 01 Ranger back. The 97 has 212,000 miles on it. '01 Ranger 45K
The next day I was at a retiring mechanics garage sale and and found a 98 XLT in the woods and scored that one for $100. He said that it didn't run after someone had tried to steal something off it. I towed in home and reinstalled the plug wires and it cranked right up. 172K on the clock. It needs a little work, but it's going to be one of my offroad rigs.
My third explorer came to me when I was searching for a donor for my 99 Wrangler. 2000 XLT 5.0 with leather. She wanted $500 because the front diff was making a racket and the front bumper was pulled out. I didn't buy that one, but my friend did that same night. He bought it to do a v8 swap in his ranger. Long story short, He gave it to me because he had to move and hadn't done the swap yet 175K and runs like a top.
So, three explorers v8s for $600 and a really nice 92 Bronco that's in awesome shape that I traded something else for. This all happened while my wife was in Vegas for a week. She wasn't very happy when she got home. Fun for me though.
