Just purchased a 2011 Explorer XLT with 48000. Really looking forward to driving this for a while and reading this forum. Have been a part of similar forums and have learned a great deal. I currently also have a 97 F150 4X4 with 320000+ miles on it and cant tell you how many time that forum has helped me.

Hello! I recently bought a 2003 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4.6L(?)and have recently started to have issues. The ABS light keeps coming on and now the RPM drop below 5. It stalled on my the other day as I was stopped at a red light about to turn into oncoming traffic. I had my 3 children in the car talk about a panic attach. I changed the PCV valve, oil change, has treatment.
Another issue it does not go into to gear easily it skips over the gear you want. Does this mean transmission issues?
Any help would be great.
