I dont think it will work properly without some kind of modifications.

You will need to get a t/case with the speed sensor.
Try www.car-part.com to find one near you.
(not affiliated with that site, just a great resource)

welcome rob

Your TC should have a metal tag on it held by one of the bolts. Grab the info on that tag and post it up here. Someone might have one, or we can find one for you. Also- use that info to search on www.car-part.com

Can you return the other one?

The t/case you bought is out of a 98 explorer. It does not have the speed sensor that you need.

You need the F77A-7A195.
Return it to the junkyard you got it from and search car-part for the correct one.

k, so I was bored since the Patriots are pounding the Jets into the ground.
I found that if you are willing to travel a little, you can get the right t/case from Holladays Auto Parts, Salem NJ, 1-856-935-0133. Stock number 41293, $295. Salem is about 65 miles from your zipcode. (Told ya I was bored)

Plenty of other junkyards have it, but it would require calling for the price check, or its in the 400-550 buck range.

...mounty for the WIN! :D

Did i ever tell you i love you!

Awwww Mounty! That's precious... :D

You are seriously a warped individual, Joe. LOL

And by the way, I am in no way a Jets fan by any stretch of the imagination. I love my Patriots, and had to overlook the fact that the OP was from Jersey, and therefore a Jets fan by default.

truck is fixed, i called back the place i bought the tc from and they said he handed me the wrong one. which was fine everyone makes mistakes. still it only cost me $235 for the tc $267 for install and 2 qt of mercron and $580 for new tires and alignment. now the trucks on the road and having tunning issues with my cobalt ss/sc. is it really this hard to keep to cars running perfect?
