New guy from Southern California here.
I recently picked up a used 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4X4 for a good price as a weekend play toy. I've never owned an Explorer before and am working through the issues left behind by the previous owner.
Found this forum while doing research.
I've built a few hot rods and other 4x4s in the past but when the wife and I started having kids that all went away.
I got permission to buy this one because it has room for the little guy in it. We will see how the tinkering goes.
