NEW Here! I have an engine rebuild question for a 97 4.0 OHV.

Hello all I have built motors in past but not a 4.0 I got my rods and pistons back from machine shop looks like rods have been spun around is their a correct postion for the rods to face....the top of the rods have like a hook does it need to go up or down...? silly question but i am unsure......Thanks for any info............gary
