actually just had a bunch of work done I wish I would have known about this site two weeks ago but better late than never I guess but I actually do have a question I have a 2003 Ford explorer sport Trac four-wheel drive and my hard top on the back , I have a bracket that holds it on , that's the one behind the driver seat has rusted apart and I'm having a heck of a time finding one the other one on the passenger side is fine but I've not been able to find the exact one that I have on here already I even tried getting a welding tool and welding it back together but that didn't work so I guess I actually need the bracket . It's where it holds that top cap aligned with the bed of the truck period if anyone could help me with that that would be awesome thanks in advance!

There may have been but if there was it's worn off all you can see is the shape of the bracket itself and even on the one that's good you still can't see a part number but I have photos and I sent it to several different businesses and no one could help me

Is this for a bed topper?

Yes I do have some pictures and hopefully you'll be able to figure out which piece I need. Obviously the piece that you see is not the piece that I need that would be the other half and yes it is for the topper of the truck . It is the bracket that's behind the driver side close to my back window that's the one that is rusted off and one of the pictures you'll see where the top part is still there but the bottom part that is actually attached to the truck itself is gone that's why I need the whole piece and then the one that I'm holding with my hand is the top part of the bracket and I need the bottom piece which is rusted off that I don't have so I need the set to replace the whole piece. but I have a few pictures hopefully this will help thank you for answering

Welcome to the forum. Where are you located?. Maybe you can take the good one to a metal fabricator & he can make you a new one, or contact the manufacturer of the bed topper & they can sell you a replacement.

Welding shops have scrap pieces laying around. I'm sure that they could make one for you.

You might...might be able to get away with a piano hinge or just a door hing. I helped a buddy fix his that looks close to that. A little tweaking bending here there it worked. Wasnt perfect but wasnt a new topper either. However your best bet was already said. Have a shop fab one up for you or search the company and email them about it.
