Ok im trying to figure out if im getting scamed. JUst got Pioneer 770mp(oh i drive a 98 MOunty w/ mach) and im having a local place install it. They said with some models of Mounty/EX's when you put an AM deck the midrange speakers in the doors dont work because of some wierd wiring ford did, so they are charging me to take of all my doors and stuff and run new wire to all of my stock speakers. Im just trying to see if anyone has heard of this and if this is indeed the solution.

System:
Pioneer 770mp(premier)
500 punch
JL 10w3 x2 in powerwedge box

opinions?

Im not really familiar w/ whether youve got a factory amp or not, but IMO its best to rewire it anyways... what are they charging you to do it?

the 770mp is a very good unit as well.

yeah i figured that anyway, might as well have monster cable all around, its at good guys, the installed pulled my deck out a said "yup, it'll need rewire factory amp" and i know a guy that works there so all in all after some price working, i believe labor came out to by 50$ or so, and 65 for sub install

thats the same problem i am having with my girlfriends explorer, they rewired everything so now nothing works right..... It sounds like you have an external amp for your speakers, just make them get one of those harnesses that hook up to it.
