Ok so the wife went out and bought me a new HU from wal mart. She new I was saving up for a new one and thought it would be a wonderful gesture after I bought she and my daughter tickets to the Wicked play.
Anyhow, I love her and she did pretty good. It's made by Dual. Not much of a name brand but it does have HD built in, itunes tagging built in, with all the bells and whistles. http://www.dualav.com/mobileaudio/xhd6430.php
page 2 is the wiring guide.
Now I installed it last night and I spliced in all the wires from the other after market setup. All colored wires matched up color-wise so now I am confused why the Sub is not working.
Yellow is constant for mem, the three orange are just tied together not used, red is 12V power, black ground, blue is powerantennna(not connected), blue/wht is sub power connected to blue wire from radio for sub remote turn on.
The new HU has an RCA connection for sub control and the audio settings have a control for varied power to the sub.
What I don't understand is how would I take an RCA adapter and splice it in to get the sub working. Where would I splice it in also.
Thank you for any help in this issue.
Yes I have searched and found lots of threads but I have gotten completely turned around and confused on this.
