I own a 2008 ST and I love it. I want a push, nudge, bull bar on it but the options for it are limited being a 2nd. gen. I'd like to get a Safari Bar but they are only available for 1st. Gen. Does anyone know if there is a different vehicle mounting system that will fit the 2nd. gen.? I don't mind a little fabricating or welding if necessary.

I have seen them on e bay for our model but im not sure of the quality.

Bull bar.

No. I've searched ebay and everywhere else many times. There are many bull bars and grille guards available but not the Safari Bar.

i found this site a while back after seeing a police Sport Trac, they're kinda expensive but I'm sure they are tough...plus you can order them with lights if you wanted too.

And I'm pretty sure you can order grille guards for our trucks by ordering for the 06-09 Explorer

**someone correct me if I'm wrong about the compatibility of the front end**

I called Westin last year asking about this. They told me they don't make the Safari bar or brackets for the 06+ Explorers. I haven't seen anyone try this setup either. I like this over the thick bull bars, looks too big imo. I always thought the Mercedes suv bars are nice cause the plastic license plate mounts onto the bar.

That's what I think too. A lot of Gen. 1 STs have them. I believe that I can adapt one but I don't want to waste the money if I can't.
