2000 Ford Explorer XLT V8
Hey everyone, new member here from Michigan, just south of Detroit. I picked up my 2000 Explorer XLT two weeks ago to become my new daily driver. My other truck is a 1993 Ford Ranger XLT swapped with a mildly built 98 Explorer 5.0 and T-5 5 speed manual trans from a 95 Mustang. The Ranger is still a work in progress and I keep running into issues with it, so I needed a reliable daily driver. Can't go wrong with a 5.0.

My Explorer is black in color. It has 126,000 miles on it, but it has been meticulously cared for. The family of the previous owner bought it new in 1999. It spent most of its life in Georgia and Hawaii and has only seen one Michigan winter, so it's really clean. It's fully loaded up to the point of being an Eddie Bauer. I swapped in a Kenwood DDX370 double din touchscreen head unit in place of the stock radio, and that's basically the only thing I've done to it so far. I have also run a 4G Rockford Fosgate amp wiring kit for when I end up doing subwoofers. It's been a great truck for the 600 miles I've put on it since I've had it. I like it a lot.

As for the Ranger, it's a mildly built 302 hooked up to a T-5. It's a Florida body that has never seen snow/salt. Engine modifications include an Edelbrock Performer dual plane intake, Ford GT40 cylinder heads, a Ford Motorsport E303 camshaft, and a set of Scott Drake Tri-Y long tube headers into dual glasspacks dumped down under the cab. I intend to lower it more, but for now I flipped the shackle hangers to drop it about 2" in the rear to level it out a bit. It's sitting on a set of 2006 Mustang GT wheels and Pirelli tires. I have a Rockford Fosgate P3 shallow mount subwoofer powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 200.2 amp bridged. Doesn't seem like enough to power the sub, which is 400w RMS, but the shallow box makes it perfect for the sub. I'll probably set up a build thread for both. I've had the Ranger for almost a year and it's come a long way since I bought it.

Sorry I don't have a current picture of the Ranger with the Mustang wheels on it. They're all on my external hard drive which is at my dad's house at the moment. I will upload one later!

I live in Riverview. That is Southland Mall in Taylor, but I'm up in the Fairlane area a lot because I go to Henry Ford.

Hi, I live in Jackson, from Ann Arbor.
Nice truck you got there.
