Hey everyone i'm new here. As it says i'm from spokane washington, i just inherited a 2004 explorer from my grandpas passing which is great for me as now i don't have to go get into massive debt on a car payment(prettysad about my grandpa and i still wish he were here though) and can finally retire my 79 toyota pickup as my daily driver and start turning it into my project! I seem to notice this is a more off road explorer environment. I may have a 4wd but i do not plan to put a lift or big meat offroad tires on it. The direction i want to take it isn't going to be flashy thug masty status either! Hahaha i love old rat rods so future plans are
1. Get a some sort of nicer wider rims(no 26's for me but i do want a lower profile tire. And NO CHROME!!)
2. Free up a few ponies and hopefully make it a bit louder.
3. This is what i am really excited for and will completely take the look of this thing to a different level. I want to do a paint protection film and wrap the whole car in it, except the kicker is it's going to make the stock metalic red paint flat instead of shiny.
As of now this stuff is super spendy and i am a 23 year old bachelor trying to survive who might like to hit up the bars on a frequent basis, so progress might be slow unless i come across about 5 grand on my tax return
i'll keep you guys posted and as soon as i get it home and cleaned up i'll snap a few pictures since i'm sure you guys are just like every other forum i belong to and are picture ******!!!! hope i'm not shunned for not wanting to jack it up in the air
