Hey guys,
Working now to trade my Mazda6 in for a 02 to 05 Sport Trac. Anything I should know when I'm looking for one? I'm hoping to find one with a hitch, a bed cover, a sunroof, and leather seats if possible. Probably going to end up with one that has between 75K and 100K miles on it. Any and all suggestions are welcome!
I'm looking into buying it because I'm doing a lot more hiking and camping and I have a new dog as well. He messes up my Mazda6 with all the hair, so I'm looking for some kind of a truck I can put him in the bed of.. Liked the look of the Sport Trac as well as the fact that it has a full size cab so I can fit the whole family in comfortably when we go on outdoor adventures together.
Also, my oldest son has recently joined a Boy Scout Troop, so they often need another Dad to pull a trailer full of gear when we go on Scout trips. Overall, it seems like the Sport Track would be a perfect fit for me. Rugged enough to do what I want to do, but small enough to still fit in my garage, and comfortable enough to where I won't mind driving it ~25 miles to work most weekdays.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks for the awesome forum! I'm looking forward to learning a lot!
