I'm new here but not to explorers, have owned many. my favorite was a 96 2dr 2wd from North Carolina, but presently only have a 1994 Xlt 4door on the road, a 93 parts machine and a 2000 limited I bought for the 5.0 and soem other parts. my 94 has just over 220,000km on it and we have owned for around 5yrs now . I love driving it and eventhough its been our winter vehicle last couple years I think I'll run it all year round for a while.
Explorers seem to be the police vehicle of choice around here, lots of severe winter driving conditions here in the snowbelt.
my favorite explorer MADE was a 1994 2dr sport 4wd with a manual 5spd. I've never owned a first gen 2dr
with a 5.0 V8 it would have been perfect!
