2014 FORD EXPLORE SPORT
I am an owner of a 2014 Ford Explore Sport. I love my car and have racked some miles up on it! Now I am having some issues with it for the first time. Unfortunately, I am not having much luck with mechanics.

The started having a slight rough idle but mainly when my foot is on the brake. Last month i parked it (at a very slight decline angle) for about 30 minutes and when I came back to start it, it started sputter really bad and died. I tried to start it again and it started with no problems, then ran fine. I did take it to the repair shop and they weren't able to find anything. They did change two of the spark plugs/coli packs (2 & 6). It still idle rough after leaving shop but it no longer sputtered and died. Two days ago (one month later) it did it again, except this time wat worse. I started it, it idled rough, sputtered, wouldn't move even though I put it reverse, then died. Tried to start it again several times and nothing. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, then t started and ran with no problems, until the next day. Same thing happened. These last two times, my check engine light did come on. Took it to the shop and they can't really find anything for sure because they state they can't replicate the problem. They did pull the code and it says it is misfiring on 1. I don't know if I believe it is just a spark plug/coil issue. Does anyone have any experience with tihs?

Welcome to this forum! Was the code P0301?
I am not sure of the exact code. Just that it was the code for misfiring on 1. I did hear back that they were able to get the car to do the issue again. They are saying it is the low pressure fuel pump. Does this sound right?

Welcome to the Forum.
Do you happen to know how much fuel was in the tank when you parked on that decline and had issues starting the vehicle? There have been post about issues with low fuel levels and parking downhill. The low pressure fuel pump sounds like a good 'guess' given the starting issues, but that seems to have been ruled out by BrooklynBay.
