99 sport
Hi there, just picked up a 99 sport to get me through the winter and spare my mustang a little bit. Its an auto with 147k miles, only a little rust on the rocker panels.

Things seem pretty solid. Unfortunately only after I purchased it did the "o/d off" start flashing on my way home. Shifting seems fine otherwise, no hunting for gears or unexpected rpm changes. I have an elm device and torque but that won't read trans codes does it? Gotta take it to a transmission shop to get it read is what I gather?

Is there a shop recommendations thread, or a forum where members share their locations and offer help for local X owners?

Anyway, good to be here. Lots of useful information so far and I'm sure you guys will save me some money with all the how-to threads.

Welcome. Is it flashing or did it just light up? The o/d off light lit up in my '98 not long after I bought it. Took me a few minutes to realize I hit the o/d button on the end of the shifter by accident. It's easy to hit it with your thumb when you use the shifter. Thats a real clean looking Sport. Good luck with it.

It was flashing and wouldn't turn off via the stalk. It goes away when you turn the car off, and the button does work to turn it on and off when it isn't flashing.

Thanks for the warm greeting.
