2003 Explorer Sport
Good Morning: Bought fourth Explorer Sport a 2003 as a result of totaling out my last one a couple of weeks ago. But, really liked the black rims I've been seeing on new blue Fords and when I saw this blue Sport thought that I would be able to go that route.
But, appears that the gray vinyl exterior trim panels will take away from the look I want.
Question 1: Can I have the exterior gray vinyl trim panel color changed to the dark blue or black in a body shop?
Question 2: Found within the first two days of ownership that the Lumbar feature doesn't work on the drivers side. Saw in another thread that the inflation tube may be loose at the pump or at the bladder. Is there a Manual available that gives direction to an amateur on how to do things themselves; i.e. take a seat apart to reconnect the tube.
Question 3: Sport has 99,000 miles on it. What would you recommend I do to the mechanical stuff; i.e. transmission, transfer case, engine to be proactive as I have no record of how conscientious the previous owner was
Kind of excited as at the age of 73 am looking forward to being a member of the Forum and beginning to customize my Sport.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my initial needs.

Welcome to this forum!
1. A professional body shop shouldn't have a problem painting.
2. Do a search on the site. I'm sure that you find a write up on it.
3. Replace all of the fluids, filters, and questionable belts & hoses.
