I just bought my XLT last month, and stumbled across this site a week later...and I've been stalking it ever since 
. This is a great community - lots of good information, friendly people and abundant advice.
I know extremely little about the Ford Explorer, but have taken it off-road several times (lots of mountainous terrain in BC) and I love it. Being a Chevy guy...its hard to admit
