I'll start my revealing that I don't actually have a Ford. The closest I've come thus far is an 88 Mercury Tracer (though a 1st gen Ranger shortbed with a 5.0 would be fun). I have no particular brand allegiance - they've all made great cars and crappy cars. A cool car or truck is cool no matter who built it. I do all of the repairs and maintenance on my own cars, so DIY is more of a way of life than a money saver.
I joined this forum to get tips and advice on repairing my neighbor's 97 Ranger. She doesn't have the money to take it to the shop anymore, and some important things are breaking, so to save her money, I offered to do whatever repairs I could, and it's always best to consult those who have more experience before tackling a major repair.
Who knows? Maybe I'll find a 5.0 Ranger that is worth risking a divorce.
