Hi All

I have used this site before for answers so now I have joined the site. I have a 03 mountaineer v8 awd.
Now my question. The charging light comes on then goes out. The battery needle goes to full low and I lose all electrical power briefly then it all comes back on. It repeats this cycle every 5 minutes or so. I am thinking a bad alt.

Welcome to this forum! Check the battery terminals & cables for corrosion.

Welcome to the forum! I would recommend what Brooklyn stated and maybe have the alternator checked to see if the diodes are in good working condition.
