1991 Ford Explorer
Hello everyone. I have a 1991 Explorer that I bought second hand back in February. I'm trying to work on my vehicle myself since I've always been a car enthusiast. My first car was a 1989 Buick Electra that I bought when I was 17. I drove that into the ground until 2003 when I bought a 1997 RAV4 and I just sold that to my neighbor when I bought the Explorer. So cars and I have a long history together.

My Explorer is the first car I've maintained with my own hands and the first project was today when I de-greased the engine! (yay!!). ;) Forgive me, I'm a girl and I'm just getting used to getting my hands dirty. My upcoming projects are: changing the oil, a transmission flush, a radiator flush, attempting to diagnose an oil leak (with the assistance of my mechanic friend) using a dye and a black light, a throttle body cleanout (again with the help of my mechanic friend) and eventually I'll do more and more the more confident I get. Let me know if you have any tips for me!
