Hello, I have never been to a forum so I have no idea what to do. I own a 2013 Explorer and found this site while checking on the Fuel Module Recall for my vehicle, I think it really wants to kill me with the fumes. I have to open the windows but that does not get rid of all of it. The outside air around my vehicle still has the same odor as the interior air, even in motion! I checked my VIN and printed the recall notice for my dealer. Now we wait for the part to arrive so they can call me. In the meantime I am allergic to nearly everything and guess I can add gas fumes to the list! Driving 30 miles one way to work provides me with a headache, blurred vision and leaves me feeling exhausted. I bought my 2013 Explorer in April of 2012 and this did not start until recently so it is not always an immediate problem with the Module but it is a serious one! I can only hope that the part arrives quickly as my dealer put an "urgent, strong odor of gas" on the parts request with the recall info. I have not been advised not to drive my SUV by Ford so I imagine asking for a vehicle to drive while waiting is not possible.
