Greetings from a new member!
I own a Mazda B2300 (Ranger)- 1995, 2wd 5spd man. that I bought in 2002
with 50k miles. It now has 224k. It starts and runs so quietly that it sounds like a brand new engine. I need to change the timing belt and original water pump.
The original belt broke at 123k and I had it replaced by a shop but the water pump is still the original and I feel that I should change it when I change the belt. I have never changed a timing belt before and would appreciate any tips. I bought the belt kit with the tensioner and plan to get a new water pump before starting this job. I have a Haynes book for my truck and the instructions that came with the belt kit but I'm always looking for tips etc. that may help me.
Thanks.

Welcome to this forum! I don't think that you'll have a problem if you follow the instructions from the kit & book. We're here to help just in case you need extra assistance. Take pictures & make a step by step repair thread.
