Hi All
Have had our explorer just over a year now and have never used it as the wife refused to drive it and said she didn’t like it until however we had all this snow and decided that ( in her words )she would give it a go as she didn’t want to damage her 04 plate Audi A3 in the snow and low and behold I can’t get her out of it
But I have found that there is a knock when going over bumps from the front suspension but there doesn’t appear to be anything worn enough to cause knock
I,e top and lower ball joints and anti roll bar links and bar bushes
Just wondered if anybody else had this problem at all

First off Welcome to the forum.

Secondly have you really tested the lower \ upper ball joints?

If they are the original factory parts from 98 my guess is that they are done.

Better to catch it now than snap a ball joint off on the road.
